Can you carry your handbags?

This question sounds strange  - at first glance. Who wouldn't be able to carry a bag? Because there can be nothing easier than to throw it over your shoulders, grab it by the hand, hang it on your back or put it on your forearms. After all, the handbag is the easiest part of the outfit! It is and it isn´t! The question can be formulated even better - Do you carry your handbag correctly? Not only from a fashion but also from a health point of view. Isn't the long-term overload of one shoulder carrying heavy shopper bags behind your cervical spine problem? Do you not feel pain in your wrist after moving around with your purse hanging for a long time? Or do you even carry a laptop bag this way? Carry your purse treasures more carefully! The handbags will testify not only to your appearance, but also to your sense of well-being.

Do not overload your neck and arms

We generally perceive handbags as a tool that relieves our hands of the many things we would otherwise carry. On the other hand, an improperly used handbag can put a strain on our hands and pull down the neck or even the back.

If we start with the smallest handbag, clutch bag, there is no extra risk of using it. It is usually just an occasional accessory and you do not want to show up with a "full loaded" handbag. Therefore you are not exposed to extra loads anyway. The various bags and mini-bags that are used to carry basic things are only minimally risky, as long as, as orthopedists remind us, we do not wear them on the aforementioned wrist for a long time. However, straps, chains, solid handles (reinforced with wood, for example) can put unnecessary pressure on this part of the hand when held for a long time. If you wear more, try alternative trendy bum bag that you can comfortably wrap around your waist. It doesn't have to be just during sports, bum bags as accessories are also produced by non-sports brands today and you can become a proud wearer of an elegant (leather) bum bag.

Another group consists of small crossbody handbags with a long strap. They are so casual that many ladies wear them over one shoulder and regularly overload one side of the body and play with proper posture. Isn't it better to use them according to the name itself - "cross body", ie across the body? Adjust the length of the strap so that you have the bag at a nice height with crossing the chest, alternate the sides of the carrying and extract the neck and arms evenly. It's still stylish and so comfortable!

Of course, when choosing the handbags that we put over our shoulders, it is necessary to pay attention to the shape and material of the straps in the first place. Although chain straps are modern, over time, metal strap pushing on the muscle can limit you.

Bag into the hand - this handbag with the just modeled and elaborated strap encourages us to carry it over our forearms. However, it is not an ideal bracelet. With its swaying, it acts on the surrounding muscles on the hand, and if you get used to carrying even a small bottle of water in it (because the size of the bag does not contradict it), its weight will also increase nicely. Experts do not damn it anyway, they are just inclined to carry handbags of this type higher under the armpits. They are shape stable, sophisticated models, often in business style and high-quality leather.

Larger shopper handbags worn over the shoulder look much more casual. From the name, it is clear that we need to fit there as much as possible. The risk of overloading one hand also increases in direct proportion to this. Although we are used to using virtually one hand, it is worth turning shoulders from time to time.

Handbags should not endanger us

The crouching is often the result of a long-term burden on the right or left side. If we go higher from shopper handbags, let's go for sports or even travel bags. These are, of course, with their weight somewhere else. We wear them as weekend bags or to fitness centers. Although they also have one long practical strap, we usually reach for the smaller straps and wear them over the shoulders instead of carrying the whole volume crosswise over the body, as we do with smaller crossbodies. We unnecessarily burden and twist the spine!

Finally, let's focus on backpacks. They are sold universally in all sizes, from mini versions to large tourist pieces. While the small backpacks with the most necessary content will not decrease your comfort, you can already feel the larger ones will do. Especially if your straps are too big and tight and all the contents and weight have a chance to pull you back. The straps must be made of high-quality soft materials, adjusted in length so that the backpack "fits" exactly on your back and is not hanging on your butt. The load should be evenly distributed, in no case is it recommended to wear a backpack on only one shoulder.

So do you know why we asked the introductory question? Yes, we all can carry handbags. But sometimes we do need to look at whether we do not wear them unnecessarily at the expense of our health.
