Women's slippers: Be the most beautiful on the beach
Finally, we have June and summer time has been knocking on the door. Holidays are here! Run to the pool, walk to the river or fly to the sea. Show off your feet on the beach and dance at the beach bar - barefoot or in stylish slippers. Women's slippers offer their most beautiful versions again this year!
Slippers as footwear are, being honest, compared to other types of shoes, often underestimated. Although they are worn only in a limited period of summer, there are destinations where they can keep you company all year round. Therefore, it is better to have some chic pair (two, three ...) in reserve so that you can travel with relaxed mind.
From Egypt via Greece and Japan to the USA
Women's slippers had their predecessor, simple sandals, already in ancient Egypt, later in Rome and Greece. Sandals made of soles and laces, which were wrapped around the toes and ankles, could not, of course, arise anywhere but hot climate zone. Just after Egyptians, who always used papyrus leaves to produce sandals, did other nations and other materials come.
The Maasai people of Africa made slippers from rawhide. In India, they were made of wood. Rice straw was used in China and Japan. Sandals were made from sisal leaves in South America, and the people of Mexico used the yucca plant. This is how we could continue across the continents until we reached 20th century Japan. There were slippers called "Zori" produced.
As a huge rubber producer during World War II, Japan began producing shoes with flat soles and straps between the thumb and forefinger in bulk. After the defeat of Japanese troops, the Americans brought a new trophy from the Asian continent in the form of material and instructions for making flip-flops.
Flip-flop slippers, flip flops, have a typical strap, compartment, separating the thumb from other fingers. This detail also has its origins long before the Japanese.
In the sandals of the ancient Greeks, the strap on the foot was worn between the first and second toes, the Roman sandals had it between the second and third toes. Quite differently, between the third and fourth fingers, Mesopotamians wore straps. In India, a related chappal sandal ("toe knob") was common, which did not have straps, but a small button sitting between the first and second toes.
Women's slippers in our offer
We know that summer needs to be enjoyed properly and the combination of colors, light materials and modern designs is exactly what your feet, finally exposed to the sun's rays, will appreciate. On the day by the water, of course, the most perfect are low beach shoes, the mentioned flip-flops, sliders, whatever models of synthetics or rubber you already call. Classic slippers are beautified by designs with shimmering details, shaped insoles - beds for your foot, modern buckles and iconic brand logos. And a great summer piece is born!
Women's slippers evoke a simple impression, but choosing the right ones can be complicated. The shoe must - especially if the insole is shaped - fit exactly on the toes and heel and must not be visually disturbing. Thumbs should not peek out of summer shoes, nor should heels stick out. Although this should not happen with any other type of footwear, while a closed shoe would push its wearer, in an open shoe a few millimeters difference would not be noticeable. Therefore, the slippers also need to be thoroughly tested and tried. While for some brands and smaller hooves, slippers bought in half-number biger size will not be a deal, for others the biger size chosen "for freedom" may be visible and ugly. Then even pleasant model of shoes will become ungrateful due to inappropriate selection.
