We hear from all sides - women's leather shoes are the best and highest quality. We can only agree with that, as well as the fact that sometimes we hesitate to buy them, because quality leather shoes always have a slightly higher price. However, we know from experience that investing in quality shoes is worth it and women's leather shoes will always rock our fashion universe.
Women's leather shoes vs. Nubuck and suede shoes
Natural leathers are divided into main categories - bast, which is the upper processed leather, smooth leather, hence why it is also called leather. This is followed by rough leather, suede, nubuck and velour. Hair can be seen on the surface of these leathers, the texture of the upper changes when you run your finger over the material. Compared to nubuck, suede has a longer nap that is visible to the naked eye. Nubuck is more matt and softer. If a thin layer of wax is added to the nubuck, it looks similar to leather. However, there is no mistaking the properties of nubuck and suede - both are thinner and therefore more susceptible to damage, especially from moisture. Rain and puddles on the road are definitely not going to make your suede half-shoes or nubuck ballerinas happy! Women's suede leather shoes, on the other hand, can withstand this onslaught, and as reputable footwear brands also offer other water-resistant technologies, it's unlikely that leather trainers, leather half-shoes or leather boots will leave you stranded and your feet in the water and cold. Get inspired by our models in leather!
