Women's mules - silver

Women's mules are an essential part of sunny summer days. Why are they so popular? How do you choose the right pair based on foot shape and material? And what are the leading trends for the 2026 season – from minimalist styles and platform designs to statement models that elevate your summer look? You'll also find styling tips, care recommendations, and a guide to brands worth your attention.

Why are women's mules the perfect choice for summer?

Summer calls for shoes that are breathable, comfortable, and stylish. Women's mules meet all three needs – and deliver even more than just practicality.

1. Comfort you can feel with every step

Slip-on styles with wide instep straps and cushioned insoles are easy to wear and fit well, whether featuring a cork sole, ergonomic design, or foam platform. Brands like Rieker and Remonte offer stability you'll appreciate in the city, at work, or on vacation.

2. Style for every outfit and personality

You'll find minimalist mules with subtle buckles, colorful designs with embellishments, and bold pieces with floral accents or glittery details. From golden mules with stones to denim styles with a retro flair – each model can elevate your summer outfit.

3. Summer materials that breathe

Uppers made from denim, leather, or breathable textiles allow your feet to stay cool even in the heat. Natural elements like cork or raffia give mules a fresh, vacation-ready vibe.

4. Ready for every summer moment

Whether you pair them with linen trousers, a denim skirt, a sundress, or beach shorts, mules are a great everyday choice. And best of all? Many models blend elegance and comfort thanks to a stable, low heel.

How to style women's mules with summer outfits

Women's mules are ideal for sunny days, not only because of their comfort but also their versatility. They complement nearly any outfit – just choose the style that matches your clothing and the occasion.

1. Elegant mules and city chic

Low-heeled models with metallic details or sparkly accents (like gold with stones or red with floral appliqué) pair beautifully with midi dresses, light blouses, and pencil skirts. They also work great with culottes or elegant jumpsuits. The result is a refined summer look – perfect for the office or a city date.

2. Denim and textile mules for casual days

Denim pieces with embroidery, stitched patterns, or quilting look great with denim skirts, shorts, or flowy boho-style dresses. Oversized shirts with a belt are another great option for a laid-back yet stylish summer vibe.

3. Cork soles and natural tones – perfect for vacation

Mules with cork platforms or natural fabrics pair well with linen trousers, white maxi dresses, or beach tunics. They create a soft, harmonious look made for summer getaways.

4. Bold colors as a statement piece

Green or red embellished mules can become the focal point of your outfit – in that case, we recommend keeping the rest neutral, such as white trousers and a beige top. Beige is a top color this year, and the contrast enhances the originality of your footwear while adding energy to your look.

5. Minimalism with refined detail

Black leather styles with buckles or textured surfaces work well in capsule wardrobes. Pair them with a beige suit, straight-leg jeans, or shirt dresses for a modern, timeless outfit with zero effort.

Mule care: Extend their lifespan

Women's mules are among the most worn shoes of the summer – but to keep them looking and feeling their best, they need proper care based on both material and style. Here are some tips to maintain different types and avoid common pitfalls.

1. Leather mules: Hydration is key

Smooth or patent leather mules should be regularly wiped with a soft cloth and treated with leather cream. Avoid direct sunlight while drying – it can cause cracking. Glossy metallic finishes, like those on Laura Biagiotti’s golden models, should be cleaned gently to protect their surface.

2. Textile and denim mules: Handle dust and stains

Textile or denim mules (e.g., ETIMEĒ or Robel) tend to collect dust quickly. A light vacuum or dry brush will help. For heavier stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap – but avoid harsh cleaners that might damage the fabric color.

3. Cork and synthetic soles: Don’t forget the bottom

Cork or foam soles (like in Rieker models) can absorb moisture over time. Occasionally wipe them with a dry cloth and let them air dry. Never place them near a heater or in direct sunlight – the material can crack.

4. Consistency matters

Even with summer shoes, regular care is better than late repairs. It’s best to wipe mules down weekly, remove dust, and check the sole – especially if you wear them daily.

6. End-of-season storage

At the end of summer, clean your mules thoroughly, let them dry, and store them in a dry space – ideally in a fabric bag or the original box. Stuff the insides with paper to help them keep their shape for next season.

No matter if you love elegant heels, comfy cork soles, or bold embellished styles – with the right care, your mules will last much longer. Give your footwear the attention it deserves – your feet (and summer outfits) will thank you.

So simple and so popular – flip-flops and beach sandals

Can´t you wait for a moment when you finally change your shoes and sneakers for a pair of free sandals or flip-flops? What will your choice for this season be? Look around our e-shop and welcome the summer with elegant heeled flip-flops or sporty coloured beach sandals. Comfortable and informal fashion designed mainly for leisure time has been very popular for centuries.

Flip-flops had their predecessor, simple sandals, already in Ancient Egypt and later in Rome and Greece. Sandals made of a sole and straps tied around toes and ankles could not, of course, originate elsewhere than in hot climate. After Egyptians who used papyrus leaves for making sandals other nations and materials came.

Masai people of Africa made sandals out of rawhide. In India, they were made from wood. In China and Japan, rice straw was used. The leaves of the sisal plant were used to make twine for sandals in South America, while the natives of Mexico used the yucca plant. .

In the 20th century flip-flops called „zori“ were first made in Japan. Japan, the giant producer of rubber during the World War II started to produce footwear with flat sole held onto the foot by a Y-shaped strap attached to a toe in large. After capture of Japanese soldiers the Americans brought home a new trophy - the material and instructions how to produce flip-flops.

Flip-flops and beach sandals have a typical strap, a space separating the first toe from other toes. This design originates even before the Japanese inventions.

In Greek sandals, the toe strap was worn between the first and second toes, while Roman sandals had the strap between the second and third toes. These differ from the sandals worn by the Mesopotamians, with the strap between the third and fourth toes. In India, a related chappal ("toe knob") sandal was common, with no straps but a small knob sitting between the first and second toes.

Wear light and summer colours

As soon as flip-flops reached USA in the 1950s their change and re-design became. Designers presented flip-flops in various colours and a new fashion trend couldn´t get stopped at all. Maximum comfort and casualness of flip-flops was first connected with the Californian beach style. Flip-flops were promoted as an informal fashion trend usually worn with shorts, swimsuit or summer dresses. Despite many attempts in wearing flip-flops at formal occasions this has never happened. Even though the models of flip-flops are decent and stylish it still is an informal footwear connected with summer leisure activities.

Every summer lover may find her or his favourite piece at Robel.shoes. Besides beach flip-flops ladies may choose among heeled or wedged sandals, sandals without separate toes, with full toe.. According to the style the upper is made of synthetic, textile or leather material. The real summer may not start without new sandals or flip-flops!
